Music Ministry Changes Leadership

Dec 15, 2013

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Change is a part of ministry, and is to be expected from time to time.  It is with a sad heart that I must share, Rick Napierala our Director of Music will be leaving St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at the end of the year.  His last Sunday with us will be December 29, 2013.  We will celebrate his time with us during our Sunday Worship, and Fellowship.  He has accepted a position at Sylvania First United Methodist Church.

We have found a replacement for the position.  Philip Clark, a graduate of the University of Toledo, and an experienced musician.  Phil comes to us from Augsburg Lutheran Church.  He is very excited about the possibility of directing our choir, developing other music ministries, while sharing some of the playing of our organ and piano.  We will welcome Phil into his position on January 2, 2014.  Phil has substituted for Jan Bradly on occasion, and has been a special musician as recently as December the 15th when we celebrated Advent, and Christmas with a hymn sing.

Please say a little prayer for Rick as he makes his transition to his new job.  We will celebrate Rick’s ministry, take time to say good-bye, while we wish him well with his future on Sunday, December 29th.  Please plan on also welcoming our new Director of Music Philip Clark on January 2nd, 2014. I would ask that you hold him in your prayers, as he begins his new leadership position with us and the choir.    God’s vision for our ministry and worship may continue to change, but we are blessed to have such gifted individuals who are willing to serve us with their talents.

In Christs' love and service,
