Marketplace for All People
Mission: We share our blessings of hope and encouragement with All People through God’s grace and love by empowering others to discover their strengths and giving opportunities to improve quality of life for themselves and the community.
The Marketplace for All People is a service for the whole community. Open each Friday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (last intake at 11:45), the Marketplace offers a place where individuals can shop for clothing, household items, linens. The Marketplace also offers a full food pantry. Best of all, everything is free! Guests are invited to volunteer at the Marketplace, donate to the store, or just come for coffee and a place to socialize with friends.
We Are In Need of Donations!
We are in need of men’s clothing and shoes!!! We accept ALL (men’s, women’s, and children’s) clothing. Also always in need of linens (including BLANKETS) and housewares.
We believe we all have assets and resources that can be freely shared with each other, no conditions attached. Our hope is that those who visit the Marketplace for All People will share their gifts with one another, all while serving together in our unique free store.
God’s grace is the greatest gift humankind has been given. It is God’s free gift of love. The Marketplace is a time and place for ALL PEOPLE to come and experience God’s love through and with one another.
Thank you for your support of this crucial ministry!
Manna Bag Ministry
Manna bags are a crucial ministry of our food pantry at St. Paul’s and the Marketplace for All People.
We provide these bags of snack foods for folks living on the streets or in shelters without access to a kitchen. Manna bags are always in high demand!
We need YOUR help to fill our manna bags, so that they can be a blessing from God to the people in our community.
We do not receive manna bag items from our local food banks— we rely on members of St. Paul’s and Marketplace to support this important ministry!
Thank you for your generosity!!
Please consider donating any of these items on a regular basis to keep our manna bags stocked:
- Jif peanut butter snack cups
- Vienna sausages
- Tuna (pop can or pouches)
- Bottled water
- Applesauce/fruit cups
- Snack crackers (cheese crackers, peanut butter crackers, or single serve crackers such as Club/Ritz)
- Granola, fruit, or protein bars
- Snack packs of cookies
- Gallon plastic zipper bags
New at Marketplace For All People
Crafting that Makes a Difference: Most of us like to craft, some of us are artists, and some have never tried. At Marketplace we believe ever person has gifts and assets that we need, and talents that have yet to be discovered.
We are inviting our Marketplace members, and indivduals an opportunity to learn a new skill, and sell the items that are created. A portion of the price for each item will cover the cost of supplies and overhead for the program, the remaining balance will be given back to the artist for their time.
Our hope: to empower indivduals, develop opportunities for economic stability, and encourage healthy relationships as indivduals discover new purposes, while building self-esteem, through personals growth. Crafters, supplies, and participants are needed!
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is a diverse group of Christ’s followers devoted to serving the body through spiritual study, being the hands and feet of Christ through missions and outreach, and sending and sharing the gospel through community ministry. We take our role as servants very seriously by feeding the hungry through our food pantry, clothing and resourcing our neighbors through the Marketplace for All People, witnessing during our worship times, and growing in faith through our community Bible study.
The members of St. Paul’s UMC are passionate about serving and would like others to know just how fulfilling a relationship with Christ is when it is shared with our brothers and sisters in need. Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, just as you did [feed, give drink, welcome, clothe, nurse, visit] one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me” (Matthew 25:40). We know that serving our brothers and sisters means we are serving the Lord. We would love to have you join us in serving our Lord with our hands, feet and voices!
